Our adoption work tends to be primarily in the area of Step-parent and family adoptions. A step-parent adoption may occur when one of the child’s biological parent has remarried and the new spouse would like to become a legal parent to the child of the biological parent. It is necessary for the non-custodial biological parent to voluntarily waive their rights, or for their rights to be terminated by the court for some reason, or if a biological parent is deceased or unable to be found.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of a waiver of parental rights or a step-parent, or relative adoption, please call and we will be happy to speak with you.
